2008 Ides of June Champion!

Captain Jeff Brader on the "Double Ott" wins the 11th Annual Ides of June Saltwater Tournament with a 33 pound blackfin tuna and two smaller kingfish to seal the deal. Jeff was fishing solo in his 21' Contender and caught the blackfin anchored in about 130 ft off Boca with a live gog.

The crew of the "Double Trouble" fishing on a 28' Whitewater, came in 2nd with a 29 pound blackfin tuna and two smaller kingfish. Captain Ron Harrison, Michael Harrison, Rick Rademacher, Brian O'Hara and Frank D'Amato caught their blackfin in about 160 ft off Boca on the drift with a live gog.

Captain Rick "Shorty" Nederlander, Matt Flanagan and Scott Cappoddano on the "Contagious" a 32' SeaCraft, came in third with three kingfish and one small tuna.

The seas were a little rough this year, but the fishing was good. Many sailfish and bonito were also caught, along with some schooly dolphin. Thanks to all for coming out and braving the seas. See you next year!
